Dog walks and expeditions can be done privately or in groups of dogs, with a maximum of three dogs. A discount of $6/expedition is awarded to dogs who “roam” with buddies.

Woof-Away Key System
Picking up and dropping off keys for pet-sitting visits is not only an extra charge, it can also be an inconvenient and unnecessary arrangement. That is why I have developed the Woof-Away Key System. Through this system, two sets of your house keys will be kept on file. A visit can be scheduled at a shorter notice with no need to pick up keys prior to or drop them off after your return. A call or email to schedule the visit is all that is necessary to make arrangements! This system is great for frequent travelers and is a must for regular dog walking visits. Here’s how it works:
- First, a permission slip is signed allowing us to keep two sets of your house keys on file (one for the office and one to go with on the visit).
- A small fee of $3 is charged to enroll to cover the set-up (if a key copy is needed)
- Your keys are stored using a code system so your name isn’t attached to your keys for security purposes.
-----Policies & Procedures-----
Initial Client Interviews
A meet-and-greet visit is required before any reservations will be confirmed - no exceptions. There is no cost for this visit; it is simply to meet the client and their companion(s), fill out profiles, go over policies, and sign a service contract.
Office Hours
I do my best to make sure phone calls and emails are returned within 24 hours. Office hours are 9am-8pm.
Reservations
Reservations can be made via phone, email, or the Reservation Form on our website. Please do not depart without receiving confirmation!
A two-week advanced notice is requested for new clients/existing clients without keys on file; a one-week advanced notice is requested for Woof-Away Key System clients. An advanced notice does not guarantee there will be availability so please reserve as far in advance as possible!
Pet Sitting: If the preferred advanced notice is not given and we do have availability, an extra $5 per visit will be charged for the first day of the reservation. If the reservation is made less than 24 hours before the first visit, an extra $10 per visit will be charged for the first day.
Over holidays, if the reservation is made less than four days before the first visit, an extra $10 per visit will be charged for the first day.
Dog Walking: If the reservation is made less than 24 hours before the walk, an extra $5 will be charged.
Visit Hours
Visits will be made between 7am and 9pm. Visits outside of regular hours will have an extra $5 per visit attached.
Cats and other pets can receive as little as one visit a day; dogs must be visited at least twice a day. If the client insists that visits be made less than once per day over a pet sitting reservation, they are agreeing to waive all claims against us that may have resulted from the infrequent visits.
Holidays
An additional $5 per visit will be attached on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Payment Policy
Acceptable payment methods are cash, check, and PayPal, where you can use a credit or debit card. I require that all invoices be paid within 15 days of the invoice date (day of the last visit). It is preferred that payments are left in a chosen spot to be picked up at the first visit. Not only does it cut down on postage and paperwork, it is much easier for both involved! Pre-paid PAW Cards are recommended for frequent dog walking visits.
If payment is not received within 15 days, a notice will be given and a 5% monthly interest rate will apply. If necessary, further action will be taken to collect the funds at the client’s expense. A $30 charge will be incurred for returned checks.
For reservations estimated at $200 or more, a deposit of 50% of the estimate is required. The remaining 50% and any additional fees can be paid following the regular payment policy.
Refunds and Cancellations
Pet Sitting: A minimum of a one week notice of cancellation is required to avoid a cancellation charge. If it is within two to six days before the first scheduled visit, 25% of the reservation total will be charged. If it is within 48 hours of the first scheduled visit, the reservation total in full will be charged.
Dog Walking: If a 24 hour cancellation notice is not given, the dog walk will be charged in full.
Over holidays, a minimum of a one week notice of cancellation is required to avoid a cancellation charge. If it is within one week before the first scheduled visit, the reservation total in full will be charged.
House Key Maintenance & Returns
Unless the Woof-Away Key System is in use, house key pick-ups and returns are necessary. We will not lock the key inside the home at the last visit; if the client insists, we can leave the key hidden outside to avoid a key return, although this is not recommended. There is a $5 charge for each key pick-up or return.
Vaccination Policy
In order to protect everyone, we request that all pets be current on their rabies vaccinations. A current health record from a veterinarian must be on file.
Pet Identification
All pets under our care should wear some form of identification if they will be let outside of the client's home. If the owner chooses to not put an ID tag on their pet, they are doing so at their own risk.
Leash Walking/Fenced Yards
All dogs will be kept on a leash unless we are inside an off-leash dog park or in the client's fenced yard. Dogs will not be let off-leash unless the client approves.
We do not accept responsibility or liability for any client pets that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when instructed to leave the pets in a fenced-in area. This includes all types of fencing.
Early Returns/Late Returns
It is not unusual for trip plans to change last minute. If 24-hour notice is given, we will credit your account for one cancelled visit due to your early return. If we arrive for a scheduled visit that is unnecessary or are not given 24-hour notice that the client has arrived early, the remaining visit(s) will be charged in full.
If you are delayed in returning home as scheduled, please notify us ASAP - we will make every extend your services as needed.
